you are not evil nor are you mean for this. Everyone processes trauma differently. You are simply human. Because you have the belief of “i should’ve known better… or I should’ve done better” after getting out your relationship, When you see these other girls, it automatically become a reflection of you, rather than them being separate from you. hinting why you would lack empathy towards them. It’s a lack of empathy and compassion towards yourself. But please don’t feel negative towards yourself for being human. You’d be surprised how many other people go through the sameeeeee thing (but in different ways). You already have self awareness and that is something to congratulate yourself for. But for your relationship situation, practice personal compassion, and get to the ROOT cause as to why you reject that version of yourself. Even though you’ve changed, that past version of you deserves love as much as the current version of yourself does…. oh and think about it, if you were to have empathy for these women that stay in these toxic dynamics… what would happen to you? remember tho, you’re already out of the situation. It's frustrating to see people romanticize unhealthy relationships, especially after overcoming similar struggles. Loving someone who has mistreated you isn't "lover girl" or empathetic; it feels more like something to be embarrassed by, not flaunted.

But tbh the girls ARE enabling the behaviour. I feel like when you deprive the evil men of attention and empathy, they’ll no longer be evil? But since we accept their terrible behaviour and STILL choose to be with them we’re kinda just productively reinforcing the behaviour, resulting in no change at all.
