Models increasingly signal a focused corridor of heavy rain from several rounds of training thunderstorms, with one round possibly ongoing at the start of the period as a continuation from Day 1. While high-resolution guidance differs on the strength and exact location of early-morning storms, ensemble probabilities point to the greatest chance around 12Z Saturday from southern Wisconsin into southwest Michigan. That early activity could influence later rounds if it leaves denser, longer-lasting cloud cover. In short, conditions Saturday morning will play a major role in where the heaviest rainfall occurs later.
