@russellruffino: The best month a company has is usually the month it outgrew something, and almost nobody looks for it while the champagne is open. Records are stress tests. Volume rises faster than the structure underneath it, and whatever was already marginal gives way. The reason it goes unnoticed is that the number at the top looks like evidence everything worked. Five places it shows up first. Delivery. More clients onboard in two weeks than the team has ever handled, so the sessions get fuller, the replies get slower, and quality drops by an amount nobody measures. Support. Volume doubles, the queue lengthens, and the people who joined in your best month get your worst experience. Cash. A record month collects its refunds and chargebacks on a delay, so the following month looks worse than it is and decisions get made on a distorted picture. The team. Somebody carried the extra load personally. They will not raise it. They will get an offer in ninety days and take it. The founder. Every gap that appeared during the month got absorbed by you, which is why the best month often feels like the worst week. The fix is a review nobody wants to run when things are going well. Take an hour after any record. Ask what nearly broke, what got absorbed by a person rather than a system, and which client cohort got the thinnest version of the product. Then build one of those before chasing the next record. Records repeat when the structure that produced them can hold. Otherwise the next one costs more than it earns. #founders #scalingup #coachingbusiness #businessowner #ceomindset #businessgrowth #womeninbusiness
