Follow @thebrowniesempire for more recipes like this everyday 😍 It’s called Roghni naan from the Persian word roghan, meaning oil or fat, referring to the rich, ghee-brushed style of the bread. * 2 cups all-purpose flour * 1 teaspoon instant yeast * 2 teaspoons sugar * ½ teaspoon baking powder * ½ teaspoon salt * 2 tablespoons yogurt * 1 tablespoon oil or ghee * ½ cup warm water, then add a little more if needed * Sesame seeds * Butter/ghee for brushing Method Mix the flour, yeast, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add yogurt and oil. Pour in ½ cup warm water gradually and mix. If it’s still dry, add water 1 tablespoon at a time. You want a soft, slightly sticky dough. Knead for 5–7 minutes, cover, and leave in a warm place for your 20 minutes. Divide into 4 pieces. Flatten each into a thick naan and make dimples with your fingers. Press sesame seeds onto the top. Heat a dry pan on medium-high. Cook the naan for about 1–2 minutes, until it bubbles and gets brown spots underneath. Flip and cook another 1–2 minutes.
