I once had to use wheelchair for 2 months because I had a severe lung infection and I was uncapable to walk more than a few steps before I ran out of breath and had to sit on the ground to catch my breath perfect example for why not all wheelchair users are paralysed

thats why i a so scared to get one. i can walk but it hurts so much and I have to use a cane. I'm worried people i know will make fun of me or say I'm faking it but I literally cant even walk to the end of my road and back without being in agony
