I think about how during Covid I was 21 my friends were complaining about not getting to go to the bar and I was doing chest compressions and watching pts die every shift 😅

Ugh felt this so heavily. Started as a new grad ICU nurse in the peak of COVID, in an adult ICU. The amount of trauma and burnout that occurred in just 3.5 years. Let’s just say I’m never stepping back in the hospital as a bedside nurse

I think about this daily dude. I have such a different perspective about life and it makes me so angry sometimes that people truly don’t understand that life can be gone in a single moment.

It’s so hard to go back to life after events like this, in a society that really doesn’t see the magnitude of how life is so fragile and precious. I think that’s why I feel validated by my healthcare/medical peers so much. 🫶
