@kisima.eden.farm: CAN YOU TELL IF A DORPER IS IN GOOD CONDITION JUST BY LOOKING AT IT? Don’t judge a sheep by size alone. When assessing a Dorper, farmers should look at several things: 🦴 Body condition — check the level of fat cover, especially around the loin and ribs. 💪 Body structure — look for a well-developed, balanced frame. 🧬 Conformation — legs, back, chest and overall structure matter when selecting breeding stock. 🌱 Nutrition — growth and condition depend heavily on consistent access to quality feed. 🩺 Health — appetite, activity, coat condition and general behaviour can provide useful clues. 📋 Records — weight and growth records help you make decisions based on performance, not appearance alone. 🔥 Farmer tip: Two sheep can look similar in size but have very different body condition and growth performance. Don’t just look at the sheep — learn how to assess it. 🐑📚 What do you check first when selecting a Dorper: BODY • BREEDING • WEIGHT • HEALTH? 👇 #DorperSheep #DorperFarming #DorperKenya #SheepFarming #SheepBreeding
