why doesn't everyone talk about his empathy killing him? EVERY. SINGLE. CHOICE. he makes through the entire thing... ZERO self preservation and a cloy perception of reality that was by all means adorable, but absolutely lethal.

As an extension, Bryan finally faces his fears and is at his most competent at the end when he opens the doors to maternity ward; he’s forced to give up his last bullet, which could’ve easily been an exit strategy. He fully commits to what comes next and finally confronts the monster/fear hunting him all movie.

Didn’t pick up on these, except for the girl. Great analysis! Something I did notice is Brian’s consistent avoidance was always his undoing; from the first thing we see him do he’s passive about getting the paper signed, then responding to Michelle, and finally telling anyone that he got bit. He does (or, doesn’t) these things because he’s fearful of making it other people’s problem, only to literally become the ultimate problem lol.

I actually loved the movie but when I saw the monster moving, all I could think was, "It cartwheeled away. Menacingly. "

The Rat King was a brilliant monster. The film was a solid 10/10 for me.

Umbrella also had resources that could've helped him, but they didn't give it, which is why most young parents suffer.

Strangely enough it kind of makes sense there’s a lot of scenes that shows what bryans is going through and how it’s happening quite literally and metaphorically

Also its in the actual ganes with a slight twist in the outbreak games theres a boss called Nyx which takes place in racoon city so its pretty accurate in that sense.
