@jazzymejia: Don’t worry I still do it but it makes me sad to see her there all alone with no blankets or nothing.

I’ve been to two pediatric cardiac arrests in the last few months from co-sleeping. Neither survived.

Be careful. I used to sleep with my baby like this and my baby’s head would smell like armpit in the morning. 😫

I know it’s hard, but I represented a mom who lost her baby accidentally due to co-sleeping. It was the saddest case I have ever worked.

I tried both and I sleep soo much better when my baby’s in the bassinet. I’m too paranoid that I might squish her in my sleep

It’s the safest. I’ll stand on that forever too (if you are a light sleeper). My baby is the safest right next to me and always will be!!! I hear every little sound and I can tend to him to much better than if he were in a crib or bassinet away from me. And for his nervous system?? The best. Every time he wakes up he turns and just looks at me and smiles. He always knows his mommy is right there for him!! Every night we go into our guest bedroom which is set up for co-sleeping. His daddy rolls in his sleep so we like to be safe!!

I’m too scared to cosleep. I have major anxiety over my babies safety. I follow safe sleep routines exactly - crib, hard mattress, alone no blankets, sleep sack, arms out, room at 68 degrees, fan going, breastfed - just too scared to do anything override

me and hubby have a california king so our firstborn had her own little area i meticulously baby proofed on my side of the bed bc I don't toss and turn and im a very light sleeper so she slept there for the first couple of months then moved to a bassinet then her own crib. she was tbf not a clingy baby though and wanted to be left tf alone I was just scared she'd stop breathing in her sleep. my second baby though is a very clingy baby and doesn't sleep long stretches at all by herself in her bassinet so I usually let her sleep on my chest until I can transition her or she just sleeps the way her sissy did but she has to be touching me somehow or at least able to feel my warmth otherwise she sleeps 30 mins to an hour at most

I read a very long research paper on co sleeping. It discussed the risk factors and the reality of SIDS. It mad me feel much more secure on my personal decision to co sleep. Do your research and do what you are comfortable with.

I've rolled over on my cat twice he likes to sleep squished in between me and my husband, and a couple of times I've rolled on top of him. Luckily he's an adult cat and wormed his way out from under me each time ....... but I'd NEVER sleep with a baby because of this

you’re supposed to do it because your child’s safety is more important than your comfort

Please please dont do this. I work in pediatrics and we get tons of babies who were accidentally rolled over on by overtired parents or hard sleepers. I know sleeping with your baby is comforting to both mom and baby but it is so dangerous:(

im a light sleeper so I cosleep with my baby. Did it with my 1st baby too & never had a problem. Highly dont recommend if youre not a light sleeper or dont have a strong sense of awareness when sleeping

The sacrifice is worth their life. My aunt accidentally smothered one of her twins in her sleep and our whole family grieves that loss the most 19 years later. I haven't brought any of my babies into my bed at night because the scene and the funeral still haunts me

Its not ever going to be considered safe sleep because thousands of babies lose their lives every year to parents with this same mindset
