Its long, straight axis once even allowed daylight to penetrate deep into the rock, symbolically guiding the king back to the sun. The corridors are richly decorated with scenes from the Book of Gates and the Book of Caverns, filled with gods and protective spells for the afterlife. The impressive pillared hall, painted with vibrant astronomical ceilings, marked the transition into the inner sacred spaces and underlined the cosmic journey of the king. #egypt #mystery #History #luxor #pyramids
