A girlfriend of mine just told me that her husband was given the money and the tools at work to develop an AI bought to do all this work for him at his job and I said to her so he’s OK developing a product that’s going to replace him and she said no it’s not replacing him. He has to program it to make it work so all these engineers that are supposed to be really brilliant. Haven’t figured out that they’re the middleman developing the product to eliminate their job.🙄

They need to slowdown development so LLMs dont reach maturity too quickly which will reduce the number of iterations they can release to the public which cuts down long term revenue.
