Hurt me, disappoint me, or sin against me in ways that leave my heart wounded. In those moments, I must remember that I, too, am a sinner who depends on the mercy of Jesus. I cannot allow someone else’s wrongdoing to fill my heart with hatred, because the Lord has called me to walk in love, even when it is difficult. Scripture says, “For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.” Matthew 6:14. Forgiving someone does not mean pretending their actions were right or allowing them to continue hurting me. It means surrendering my anger to God and refusing to let bitterness separate my heart from Him. If my brother or sister has done wrong, I should seek to speak the truth with love and humility, hoping for repentance and restoration rather than revenge. I must remember that I have fallen short, too, and that the same grace I ask God to show me is grace I should be willing to extend to others. Even when they refuse to apologize or understand the pain they caused, I can still choose peace. I do not have to carry hatred, seek revenge, or allow their actions to change the person Christ is shaping me to become. “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32. Lord Jesus, help me forgive those who sin against me, just as I ask You to forgive my own sins. Keep my heart from bitterness, teach me to speak with love, and give me the wisdom to establish boundaries when necessary. Remind me that forgiveness is not weakness, but a reflection of Your mercy within me. Even when I am hurt, help me remain faithful to You, love others without compromising righteousness, and trust You with the things I cannot change. Amen. #christianity #christianleadership #jesuslovesyou❤️🙏✝️😇 #jesussaves #lovejesus
