@reginebenavidez: NO laser or microneedling treatments yet and here’s how i did it with skincare: ✅Salicylic acid (cleanser): I only use this in the morning. It gets deep into clogged pores and breaks down the oil/debris buildup that causes breakouts in the first place. Best for skin texture. ✅ Benzoyl peroxide (spot cream): my emergency treatment for active breakouts. Treats and kills bacteria and calms inflammation fast. (mostly OTC) ✅Adapalene (Retinoid): a type of retinoid that specifically targets acne. Will purge you on the first 1-3 months but still a GAME CHANGER on improving my texture. (PRESCRIPTION REQUIRED) ✅ Tinted sunscreen: NON-NEGOTIABLE. SPF is literally the #1 anti-aging + anti-dark-spot product that exists, and the tint means I get extra coverage without clogging anything up. ✅Non-tinted sunscreen: NON-NEGOTIATABLE TOO and great for dry skin. Could also be a moisturizer in the morning. ✅ Azelaic acid (serum/cream): underrated ingredient but fades post-acne marks/discoloration, evens tone, keeps things calm without irritation. Did the most of the work on my redness and marks. (PRESCRIPTION REQUIRED for concentrations higher than 10%) ✅ Moisturizer: seals the actives so my skin barrier isn't fighting against the dryness and irritation from it.
