I think the issue is that most women are scared of betrayal from the man judging from others situations and how some women helped with all their heart and ended up divorced or the man marrying a second wife and his attention shifting. But with mutual understanding it is very normal to help out especially when you two are not in The Gambia. Women should be willing to help and not a force. Let them communicate and do things together. Wallahi we make things hard for each other in marriage which should not. My husband and I do everything together and so far we’ve never argued about finances.
