Besides lots of people with allergies to a lot of veggies cant even apply themselves to a vegan diet AND if someone ate meat all their life its hard to just stop eating it, also not eating meat during puberty can fuck up ur metabolism system, being vegan is a good choice but shaming people for not being vegan (common vegan tactic) is gen absurd, plus eating meat will never be as bad as other stuff

as a vegetarian THIS IS WHAT PMO. my family are working class, when i had no money and there was nothing vegetarian like quorn and such i lived off boiled veg and sauce. its not healthy, and i dont wish that on anyone. not only that, even if we are all priveliged enough for that, some people literally cant survive without those minerals and proteins that arent provided in anything else but meats. plus comparing that to actual crimes and genuine problems within our society when eating meat is actually proved to be more ethical than partaking in the dairy industry (as someone who can't afford almond milk or wtv other shite they have) its good that those who are priveleged can chose to do that and try to help but you cant expect everyone to. i honestly love hunters so much more than large farms too as its so much more ethical, i would never go back to eating meat but that doesnt mean discriminate on those that cant. also if people are actually comparing it to serious crimes like that, thats INSANE. because they dont even overlap.

also saying everyone should be vegan is an extremely westernised and capitalist view. they forget that death is sacred in other cultures & that the killing of animals is entirely immoral, its natural. the meat industry had made it so that peoples view of meat eating = immoral

i’m a pescatarian specifically because i like to know that the food i put in my system is (for the most part) healthy and not over processed, i can’t get mad at others for not doing the same because why should they? this is my decision and mine alone, people can’t tell me to eat meat and i can’t tell them not to
