You can also do it onto an acetate sheet and then peel it away once it dries if you’re having a hard time filling the hole, but it has a different look

I used to do something like this in the 80s when I was a kid but the metal wire we cover it with a hoisery stocking material.. . I don't remember who taught me to do it or what kind of art was it...
