@drink.inkaia: **RETE OVARII** There's an organ attached to our ovaries. It exists in our bodies, but it got erased from the anatomy textbooks. Scientists found it almost 150 years ago. Then they couldn't figure out what it does, called it useless, and dropped it from the books. Now, new studies from 2025 show it actually makes its own proteins and feeds them into the ovary. It might control which follicles activate and when. It also acts like an antenna, connecting the ovary to the nervous system and bloodstream. Doesn't seem that useless to me. Here's the crazy part. All reproductive organs start from the same embryonic tissue in men and women, then split off because of sex hormones. Rete ovarii has a male homolog, rete testis. That one never got removed from the books. It's been studied 10x more. This is exactly what I mean when I say there is SO much we still don't know about women's bodies. We mapped fruit fly brains and put them in computer simulations. We're building AI. We're sending rockets to Mars. But as of 2026 we failed to accurately map female anatomy. Feel free to feel all of it. Angry, that female bodies get studied last. Anxious, wondering if we even know what a woman's anatomy fully looks like. And curious, because the knowledge is out there, just waiting to be found.
