Ginger is great for upset tummies, nausea, bloating, and gas 🫚 These have a nice kick to them and are incredibly effective ! Unfortunately, they can be hard to find in stores or contain not so good ingredients. But the homemade version is SO easy ! This simple recipe makes a naturally soothing candy you can keep on hand for whenever digestion issues or nausea come. Plus, it uses ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen :) INGREDIENTS: 2 ½ cups water ½ cup grated fresh ginger root ¼ cUp honey ¾ cup cane sugar Coconut oil (for greasing or I used olive Oil) Peel and grate the ginger root. Pack ½ cup into a saucepan and add 2 ½ cups of water. Simmer over low heat for 1 hour. Strain the liquid into a bowl. Measure out 1 ¼ cups of the ginger liquid and add back to the saucepan. Stir in the honey and cane sugar. Heat the mixture slowly over low heat until it reaches 255°F. Do not boil it !!! It should thicken gradually. (I did not have a candy thermometer so I tested it in an iced cold bowl of water: you should be able to pour some in and pick it up in once piece while it still be malleable) While the syrup simmers, grease a glass dish with an oil, line it with parchment paper and grease again. Pour the mixture in the dish and let cool. Cut the candy into small squares - or roll into little balls. You can grease your hands and tools with oil to help prevent sticking. To store you can wrap each piece in parchment paper or gently coat in arrowroot powder or an oil so they don't stick to each other. Enjoy :) #gingerchews #deinfluencing #homemaderecipe
