I saw ancient burial jars with boat, bangkero and a passenger on top. What I read is that the passenger is of course the dead, bangkero is Death and the boat is of course the vessel that goes to wherever the souls goes. In the book that I read if there's no boat nor bangkero on top of the jar the dead will become a lost soul cause there's no one to guide them through their journey
