Detectives discovered Nobes sourced the illicit material across a six-month window using a social media platform popular with young people, while distributing files to others online. Judge Andrew Jefferies KC condemned the massive volume of abuse material, highlighting moving footage depicting primary school-aged children. However, the court suspended his eight-month prison term for two years, citing his role as a carer for his elderly father and supposed prospects of rehabilitation. Nobes received 40 rehabilitation days, a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order restricting internet use, and 10 years on the Sex Offenders Register.
