Sadly most families on SNAP, are working (often more than one job), and they still need help. What a sad state of affairs. Vote, restore our country to greatness.

Somehow, those people cutting budgets think that cutting those budgets instantly “remove fraud.” It’s really just false worldview.

I got my first divorce when I was 17 years old so that tells you how young I was I had two little boys. My ex-husband moved to California so he wouldn’t have to pay child support. We’re talking 50 years ago. They didn’t go over state lines to bring them back or to force them to pay I could’ve went on welfare, but there was such a stigma to young girls like me having babies just to get a welfare check that I refused. I work sometimes three jobs to raise those children, my children were raised by babysitters and if I can do if I could do it over again, fuck the system, I would draw every penny I could out of it because now I’m 67 years old have never ever fucking ever gotten a dime from this administration when they handed out Those stimulus checks when Trump was in last time we didn’t receive one because we made too much money. We have never gotten tax return ever and we paid in 28% and still paid more and we’re not rich people. We caught that when we’re we make too much money to qualify for anything but not enough money to be considered, I’ll probably not even fucking middle class. This country is fucked up everything about it is fucked up and like I said if I could go back, I would apply for every fucking welfare check I could draw. My husband and I have been married for 37 years now we have never gotten the tax return this year. We were supposed to get a tax return from the state. We paid into the fucking federal government, but we were supposed to get a state tax return and we still have not received it. It’s been six fucking months, we have a lawsuit against him, but I’m telling you this fucking country is fucked up to the hilt

I’m working. I have always worked. My snap benefits went from 248 to 48 a month. I’m mentally paralyzed. How can I make it and keep myself and my children fed. I hardly eat anything.

And it’s not isolated to snap. Many haven’t recovered from the last economic hiccup. This will land many on the street.

It’s not just cutting benefits…it’s the fact that even if you have benefits groceries are getting higher every day. Gas to transport food, higher cost of fertilizer, lack of water due to data centers…even if the benefit weren’t cut, they are not going near as far…cutting the benefits is insult to injury…

it is definitely a complex opportunity; that does not mean it should be left alone or simplified to our detriment.
