@meandmygirls_mm: Replying to @the_rol there always had to be something, but this got to the point where it affect the whole house every single morning #singlemum #singlemumlife #mystory #mylife #storytime
How does he function now that you’re not there to shout at? I honestly don’t know how he must be coping on his own now

That’s scary though. That level of aggression needs to be somehow addressed especially as he spends time with his daughters. 🥺

This reminds me of how breakfast was such an issue when I was with my ex partner, not only did I take time out of my working day to go home and make his breakfast for him (yes I know I hear it too), but it was never right. One day it was “I never eat beans, why are they on the plate?” then the next day “why is there no beans?” He used to complain about breakfast in multiple ways and when I would take it on board and change it the next day, he would be annoyed that I changed it. It took so long for me to realise, it wasn’t the breakfast he was complaining about, he was showing me that whatever I did and said would never be enough for him.

My dad is the same. Whole House have to know if he dropped something or broke some glass. He curse loudly and make big fuss about it

His life was boring to him unless he was upsetting you. It wasn’t about the smoothie maker.

I totally correlate with this. I lived in 45 years marriage, that I considered good marriage, with my late husband. everything, from light bulb to everything else that broke in the house, was somehow worth of cursing, grunting or someone's fault. I am 72 years old now, but 7 years ago I learned how to be me, without pleasing anybody.

Yes, I lived with a door slammer and kicker. Still jars my nerves years and years later.

He didn’t want to take on your suggestions and actually learn something because that would mean admitting that you’re right and that’s not allowed is it

Doors slamming, walls hit, running out of the house locking the door and driving off in a temper which, of course, was entirely my fault entirely for breathing.

For my ex husband it was carbonara. He used to make it properly with eggs and not cream but If the pasta is too hot or maybe the pasta water is too hot the egg will start to cook rather than creating the sauce and it was a bit like scrambled eggs and pasta. He would do it spot on the whole way through our relationship until things went down hill and every time it wasn’t the right temp and he’d end up with scrambled eggs and pasta. I swore he was doing it so that he would have a reason to be openly angry rather than inwardly angry and of course it was always my fault

If he's having that reaction every day to a frigging smoothie then you definitely dodged a bullet because there's no way he'd cope with the challenges of bringing up two children into adulthood.

He must hear about these TikTok’s through the grapevine if you have him blocked. Curious to know if he’s ever mentioned anything to you? Had any time to reflect on his behaviour? I’m going to punt on NO.
