They endured so much so that we could still be here today. It is easy, after generations of division, borders, and political differences, to forget that we come from the same people and carry the same history. When my brothers and sisters suffer, I feel their pain too, whether we agree politically or not. Their suffering does not become less painful because we see the world differently. We should never allow politics, borders, tribes, or disagreements to make us forget our humanity and our connection to one another.
