I’ve been learning something about love—especially my love for Jesus: True love has to be participated in. It doesn’t do much good to know someone loves you if you never allow yourself to receive that love, respond to it, and participate in it. You can stand beside the current your entire life and acknowledge that the water is there. You can study it. Talk about it. Watch other people jump in. Or you can step into it.
