A good rule of thumb is pronouncing ”och” fully when there’s emphasis on the word, e.g. ”he was weaving left and right” versus ”he had a pizza AND a burger”

I remember saying ”till och med”, emphatically, and pronounced och fully. A person from Finland said you shouldn’t pronounce the och fully ever. Is this correct?

I do this kind of automatically but in a really arbitrary way. I would call that speech economy. I reduce the "ch"-sound from och to an å. That allows me a more fluent diction.
