I think he just remembers glimpses/ only the not so great memories plus everything he saw from pi o like him denying their friendship in that interview/ going on with his life seemingly fine so he just decided not to be the same he was years ago and choose himself this time/act the way pi o did back then

I KNEW IT!! And what makes this even sadder is that IF, IF ONLY the adults around Pio do not fail him, his friendship and Jeongyo’s life will never be shattered like this :(( defo the main problem was pio’s grandfather and his mother. They defo need a good communication… like Pio is the victim of their lack of communication skills. Dammit i hate it :((
