The real problem with Natlan's technology it's not the technology, it's the design of the technology that didn't match their aesthetic It's like giving a goth person a dress that isn't goth but a trad wife dress, it doesn't matches their style (I posted the coment by accident and I wasn't finished lol)

I mean when you think about it the nation of war being so technologically advanced makes sense since some of the largest technological advances happened in war to try and get the edge on enemies

I like natlan but its tech wasn’t what I was expecting. My criticisms are mostly to Mavika’s bike, tight leather fit and Kinich’s grapple with Ajaw in theory great but I’m not a fan of the pixelated effects. Big fan of how Chasca was done though.

Dragon tech is great but Xilonen's gadgets just don't mesh with the world. Fontaine, Sumeru, and Liyue all had consistent designs, if anything I wish they had gone more into the tech so it's not a bunch of random people living in huts while just one lady has a motorcycle

I don’t mind the tech, I mind that it looks so out of place in comparison to the example we’ve seen like, ok, they can be advanced, but their inventions had to have been based on stuff they saw around. Like, where did they get the idea for a motorbike? I’m also slightly salty cause I was hoping for more rep so I might just be more critical of the nation but yeah….

The tech was not for me but only because I liked the fantasy magic-focused part of the game, not the sci-fi vibes. It made sense with the lore it just wasn’t the game I signed up for when I started playing in inazuma

"but mondstat and liyue are medieval fantasy!!" they have no reason to advance 😭 inazuma was forced not to, fontaine is "the most advanced" by human creation and not dragon technology, and sumeru also has no reason to except for the akademiya. i dont pay attention to the lore but it feels like these ppl play the game with their eyes closed

As someone who’s Latina I feel mostly disappointed that they want to use only what they deem aesthetic from our culture, there’s actually so many things they could have used from a primitive time, the medicine, folklore, The issue is the lack of integration into a fantasy-steampunk setting that appears in the worldbuilding for other regions, the technology that comes from Xianyun's inventions in Liyue is congruent with a traditionally chinese steampunk aesthetic, but for natlan Kachina is the most congruent (a low bar). We see a lot of the Aztec designs/aesthetics in her scooter/drill, they could have taken the same approach with the rest, we could have both the technology and the setting
