Echoes of Westeros :
That’s true. Life is one big fucking joke. You can spend it building a family only to eventually watch the people you love die. You can spend it alone and eventually die alone. Or you can spend 40 years building a career, believing you found your purpose, only to retire and realize you were always replaceable, just another small piece in a machine that keeps moving without you.
In the end, death does not care if you were rich or poor, powerful or forgotten, religious or atheist, loved or hated, a saint or a monster. Every one of us eventually faces the same ending.
So if you’re struggling in life, if people are bullying you, or if you feel like you’ll never amount to anything, remember this: the people making you feel worthless are temporary too. Every human being on this planet shares the same mortality. No amount of money, status, popularity, or power changes that.
And when your final moment eventually comes, even if you’re surrounded by people holding your hand and comforting you, the experience of dying will ultimately be yours alone. They may be beside you, crying and holding onto you, but they cannot experience that final moment for you. They remain alive while your consciousness fades into whatever, if anything, comes afterward.
None of us knows with certainty what follows death. Maybe there is something. Maybe there isn’t. But we know our time here is limited. So why spend that limited time pretending to be someone you’re not, destroying other people, or taking yourself so damn seriously?
