For Sen. Kuya Alan, fairness requires that the rules applied at the beginning of the trial remain the rules until the end. He stressed that the Constitution and the law cannot simply be set aside or made relative depending on circumstances, emphasizing that the numbers provided in the Constitution are fixed and must be respected. “I don't want to have a mistrial.
