I loved these last few scenes so much. They felt like such a quiet but important turning point because we’re finally getting little glimpses into what’s actually going on beneath the carefree, flirty image Dean shows everyone. And Hun’s words were like a reminder to Moth that Dean isn’t his responsibility , that maybe Dean is just someone who crossed his path ,and that Moth doesn’t have to carry his burden just because they’ve become involved with each other. He tried to make Moth see that he can step back, but those words are also the first crack in the wall Moth has built around his feelings. He is already past the point of being able to see Dean that simply. He already reached the point where Dean’s actions affect him, where he worries about him even though he keeps telling himself he doesn’t and shouldn’t. nAnd then the scene cuts to Dean, who is thinking about something that feels completely connected to Moth’s side of the conversaiton...belonging. Dean is questioning whether there is anywhere he truly belongs., while Moth is slowly realizing that caring about someone can become its own kind of attachment. They’re both dealing with the same feeling from completely different sides. DEan is wondering if there is a place where he will truly be wanted , while Moth is discovering that someone can start feeling like a place you don’t want to lose. Neither of them understands it yet, but they’re slowly becoming something the other has been missing. 🥲
