I left my DA in 2022. Officially moved out of the family home a couple of years ago. We were together for almost half of my life. I am now engaged to the kindest, most patient and amazing secure attachment partner. Things do get better 💕

It’s so hard to let go. I’ve been through 10 months of therapy where a therapist has explained I was emotionally abused by someone with emotionally unavailability and I still think about them every day.

That holding pattern is brutal. I’ve been watching all of your videos. I asked a question on an earlier video post and each video is answering that question. Thank you for making this series!

She went to the next guy a week after our break up, she’s not healing because she doesn’t want to be alone. It’s been 2 months they’ve been together

Ten months for me of no contact. I’m still slightly analyzing. About 90% healed. My nervous system is 1000 times better. I still get grief bursts, but not as much anymore. It’s such a process. Different than a divorce in my experience.

Took me almost 5 yrs to realize this. One day I just realized that no matter what I did and how “secure” I showed up and how much I treaded carefully to not trigger his avoidance, I could not get him to integrate me and fight the avoidance. And that’s the moment I finally let go and understood that it was never my job to “heal” him. That’s the moment I found myself again and finally found peace.

How do you let go when you are still living with them and coparenting with them?

That’s me and we were just really good work friends. I retired she went total DA within a week. Ghosted me and treated me like i didn’t matter. She also was well aware of how hard I was struggling with my decision to retire. Since then she has stabbed me in the back. I’m getting better but it’s been slow.

I feel like avoidant content prolongs the healing process because it focuses on the fact that they mistreat you because they love you. But honestly they don’t. They never really bonded to you. They never actually love you. And the minute you accept that, you accept reality and really begin to heal.

Once I saw the had saved x rated videos of his Best friend *exing women, I realized I never knew this man and he had 0 respect for me from the beginning. It has helped with detachment

I stumble in to actually experiencing the understanding of this in the last few weeks. She just has nothing to give.

I am making that shift because I want my self esteem back. I see him as a driverless vehicle, he doesn't give a flip about me.

Your content is so helpful. I’m getting so much perspective on my own thoughts and feelings. It’s like you have surveillance footage of my life, it’s so spot-on. Thank you!
