Thank you for this. We divide one year annual pensionable pay by 1/54 and it continues yearly and you add up with interest. This is a monthly amount not a lump sum.

So I’m now 42, I pay £800 a month into the scheme. I can’t take it out without penalty until 68 (or 65 with ERBB) but if I only live ten years I’m going to get out less than I paid in

How can NHS as employer afford to contribute 23% to their employees pension. where is the money coming from? its just 3% contributions by private sector employers.

21 years now. im in the 95 2008 and 2015 and am finding it virtually impossible to draw down. Im 59 next month and have been trying to do this since I became 55 ?? im just being sent around in circles and not helped at all. NHS ARE TOXIC
