The News York Daily News reported Friday that Malaika Chitre, left, and Navam Kaul were hugging and kissing when they fell from the subway platform onto the tracks below. The New York Post reported that Navam lost his balance and fell, and Malaika went down to the tracks to help. Both news outlets said their sources are telling them they do not believe this was a suicide, as online commenters widely speculated. The investigation into happened that night is ongoing.
