As a fellow Brit I believe Jason 2 took the path of not staying with his pregnant gf and concentrating on his passion of the box, that seperate his path from Jason 1 and split into a parallel universe. When he regretted it he switched places with Jason 1 but when Jason 1 was trying to return home, everytime he made a decision a seperate Jason spawned and took a different one in a parallel universe but they were all formed from the original Jason 1 so had the same impeteous to return to their family. So all these Jason's were trying to return home, but every decision formed a new Jason who was also trying to get home by taking a different path. The serum is because the consciousness cannot handle the travelling so it gives the illusion of a corridor with doors as that's something that can be understood. The other Jason's decided to let the original Jason take the family and they went back into the box as they would always be hunted by new Jason's. That was my interpretation of season one anyway... Though I could be wrong. 😂😂😂
