@mus1imwomen: We need to stop confusing culture with Islam. When a boy is raised believing he should be served, while a girl is raised believing she must always adjust, we don’t create partnership we create imbalance. Islam gave us a different example. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ helped his family and served in his home. Marriage was never meant to be one person constantly giving while the other simply expects. A Muslim marriage should feel like two people carrying life together with mercy, respect, understanding, and shared responsibility. Some things have been passed down for generations, but that doesn’t automatically make them Islamic. Sometimes, it’s not Islam.
