Yes, the nurses in these comments saying it’s “not normal” to be that tired and accusing her of playing in the Pyxis are the same ones who are quick to label patients as drug seeking, attention seeking, or “annoying” instead of acknowledging when someone is genuinely exhausted or in pain. She literally fell asleep mid-meal after a long shift. Instead of having empathy, some of you immediately jumped to the worst possible assumption and started questioning her character. That lack of compassion is exactly what patients experience when nurses dismiss their pain instead of listening to them.

I genuinely barely remember this but I am SO SO SO thankful for you bc I can’t tell you how many times I can’t sleep bc I’m too hungry but too sleepy to make food or I wake up nauseous bc I haven’t eaten in over 12 hours. Sometimes I literally walk in the door and have breakfast ready for me 🥹. I feel so lucky every single day🤍 I love you!!!

“This is unrealistic! She must be playing in the Pyxis!” Have you considered she wouldn’t be eating if her girlfriend wasn’t looking out for her? We’ve all skipped meals or shoved whatever we had in the fridge in our faces before bed out of exhaustion after back to back 12’s, especially on nights. Give her some grace.

mean girls become nurses, good people also do but almost every mean girl becomes one that disrespects you anytime you need help. My mom is a nurse and there’s days she falls asleep on the couch she can’t even make it to bed. the job is hard and shows it on the body.

My man has fell asleep in his car after working several 12’s in a row. He’s also fallen asleep after eating with his plate of food still in his lap. He sometimes works 80 hours a week. If you’ve never experienced it that’s great, but that also doesn’t mean you can accuse someone of stealing and abusing medication. That’s literally insane.

I work 12 hours shifts and work 60 to 70 hour weeks at a flooring company I’ve worked at for 7 years and take care of my 4 kids and 4 dogs.
