Valerie J. :
Oh, Steph, the space is great especially given your old space. I like your layout but have a suggestion. Take a photo or even a video and upload it to Gemini (Google AI). Ask AI to give you some design suggestions and you can interact with it on changes. I have found it really helpful to get ideas.

I like the first option! I also think you could put an Alex drawer in that awkward space of the L facing outward as more storage and also more vanity top space if that makes sense

def the L shape. I'd still get a swivel chair to swap between the desks tho

Before you go the closet door route try floor length curtains. This way you have options for stages (of cleanliness & clutter-if you’re anything like me. lol) good luck & congrats on the new space. Thx for the idea about going on FB Marketplace for the IKEA stuff. I must start checking often (moving in the hopefully not too distant future).

Oh don’t put the closet doors on it’s helps keep the space opened. Also, I have a different vanity but mine didnt screw together either so I did do that but I kept my vanities off the walls in a L shape like how you liked it and I have my desktop on my vanity I wasn’t using so it didn’t look weird

Option 1 (L) seems like it’ll flow better for you than having to swivel all the way around behind you to get things, and especially since you get to keep your background. I also really like the closet with the doors off so it doubles as a display! This will be such a fun space. ✨

I like the L shape option. I think set it up for a bit and you can change things as you go , see what works for you [Smile][Twin hearts]
