You stop washing his clothes, you get take out before you come home, you have one cup you drink out of and keep clean, you dont pick up or do a single thing that was a direct result of him living. Before long, he will have something to say and then you can just ignore him and pretend you have no idea what hes talking about.

I actually stopped doing it. All of it. I washed my clothes. I bought some paper plates and plastic cutlery and hid it. I stayed out of the house as much as possible. But I quit doing it. Came home day and the house was clean. Dishes done. Laundry done. Floors, counters, tables clean. And now I don’t have to ask for help more than once.

I asked for help affording laundry detergent. We ran out. I had to wait over a week until pay day, asking every few days. Once payday hit I finally bought it but still kept asking him for it. I kept asking and bought/went through 3 jugs of detergent before I lost it on him. He unwillingly bought me a small jug that night. He was moved out 1 week later.

Mine did the same thing. My “favorite” was when I would ask for help with the dirty dishes since I planned, prepped, cooked dinner and basically cleaned up and he would say yeah…And then do it midnight!! Loudly.

I've learned to not expect help and then when HE wants something from me, I am tired. so.. I don't help him either and let him know if he would have helped around the house, I would have had time for him and what he wanted.
