It is the class that makes me look at the clock every five minutes, hoping that somehow more time has passed. Unfortunately, it never does. Everything about second period makes the school day feel longer than it actually is. First, second period is always boring. It feels like the teacher is talking for hours, even when only ten minutes have passed. I try to pay attention, but my brain starts thinking about literally anything else. The clock becomes my best friend because I am constantly checking how much longer I have to survive. Another reason second period is so bad is the work. There always seems to be something to do, whether it is an assignment, notes, or some random activity that takes way longer than it should. Sometimes I finish my work and think I can finally relax, but then another assignment appears out of nowhere. Finally, second period ruins the rest of my morning. Instead of starting the day feeling good, I have to get through second period first. By the time it ends, I feel like I have already been at school for six hours, even though it is still early. In conclusion, second period is the worst because it is boring, has too much work, and makes the school day feel extremely long. If second period could be removed from the schedule, school would instantly become better. Until then, I guess I just have to survive it every day.
