She completed her FULL exchange year and went home to Denmark on her originally scheduled departure date. She recently made a funny video teasing us that we "made her go home," so this is our equally unserious response. We adore her, we still talk regularly, and she is very much in on the joke. Our former Danish exchange student Eja recently made some VERY serious allegations against her American host family. Specifically, she claims we “made” her go home after her exchange year. As responsible host parents, we felt we had no choice but to publicly address these accusations and present the evidence. Exhibit A: Eja walking away from us at the airport. So we ask the jury: Did we make our exchange student go home… or did she leave us? Eja, we love you. But the evidence speaks for itself. Case closed.
