@russellruffino: Conviction and fear live in the same person more often than founders admit. You can believe in the decision completely and still check the balance on a Sunday night. You can know the strategy is right and still feel sick when a month closes with nothing in it. Belief did not carry me through that period. Arithmetic did. Months of runway, counted honestly, and a date where I had agreed with myself to stop. If you are in the middle of a bet right now, write down the date you stop and tell one person what it is.
