Is the Premier League basically becoming the Super League everyone talked about? 👀 And does that intensity actually put English clubs at a disadvantage in Europe? While some of Europe’s biggest sides can occasionally rotate against the ‘lesser’ teams in their leagues, Premier League sides seem to be fighting for their lives every single weekend. How does it possibly put them at a disadvantage? Premier league clubs have so much more money than another clubs. Kinda ridiculous to complain about how other teams can afford to field “lesser” teams when they can’t even afford to buy players the prem teams can in the first place. Prem teams have the finances to construct teams as good as PSGs and Bayerns. The fact that prem teams have such a financial advantage should mean they could have benches that blow away the first XI from other leagues. “Afford to rest players” biggest cope I’ve ever read when you could easily buy a whole second starting XI.
