Being an only child has taught me one of the most important lessons in this life; how to be comfortable with yourself & only yourself. I can sit alone in a dark room with my thoughts and be completely comfortable. I love company but, the people in my life are not my universe, they are simply parts of it.

I’m an only child turned oldest although I am in college and my siblings are in elementary. I remember being so mad cause my parents were seperated so I wouldn’t even have a bio sibling of my own being mad cause my siblings don’t even look like me😞

Didn’t resonate with any of these slides. I loved my independence and was able to entertain myself just fine. I moved around a lot as a kid so I adapted quickly. Never wanted a sibling cause i didn’t want to share shit 😂

I genuinely don’t understand what happened to me bc I’m like the total opposite. Growing up I was scared to death that I’d get a sibling and my parents would forget me . I grew up with difficulties making friends and I saw my parents as my best friends. Now I think the fact that I felt other people could replace me shows up in all my friendships and how I get anxious when I’m not their only friend .. maybe it’s bc I’m mixed so my parents felt more like home then the other kids?? Idk
