@stevencodes.swe: A new AI model that’s not an LLM just dropped and I think it’s going to be a big deal. It’s called Jev from TypeSafe. It gives you composable primitives and has very fast response times. It won’t replace LLMs but it can augment your code in powerful ways. #software #coding #programming #techtok #ai
time to break down language into a set of choices... maybe I'll call it tokenization - and reinvent the language model

Hahaha so basically a multi-task multi label classifier..

is it API based and can I host it in a dedicated environment or is it only available as a hosted service?

I assume its gonna be established as a router in agentic system.

Is it still transformer based or have we just circled back to analytical machine learning.

Fancy BERT. Regardless of implementation, you gotta hand it to their hype team for getting people excited about old school classifiers again.

This is called a neural function. Or ML.

Say a support domain gets 1 million issues per month, and all issues get a category assigned by a JEV choice. How much would that cost to operate?

How are you making these animations? I need something like this to illustrate the architecture changes I'm making. Tysm!

Long time no see! Happy to see you again on my FYP!
As for Jev, I think it could solve one of the important issues for local AI coding agents for every prompt:
* Which model to use (expensive, fast, local, ...)?
* Which skills are needed (architect, SWE, tester, ...)?
* Which tools to pick for a specific task (CLI tools, MCP tools, IDE tools, ...)?
All of this could be done locally before making expensive calls to third-party LLM APIs.

but this is on waitlist and from their promises, I doubt they can handle the traffic once people starts using it, as they claimed to cheaper and faster

made it play minecraft and its terrible, but so far it can craft some tools and follow other simple instructions like follow player or mine wood, had fun with it for some time but it really has like 6iq and when i told it to build a house it just covered itself with dirt, and it took like 5 minutes too
