I think you better check your facts. yes gm did put the 350 V8 in these Trans AM's starting in 1987.prior to that they would have come with the 305 V8.

I owned a new 1985 Trans am t-tops leather wrapped around spoiler black and gold. car was never winter driven the t-tops rotted out within 5 years Beyond repair. biggest piece of junk I ever owned. 40,000 km sold it in 1990
