This is one I disagree with. If work isn’t getting done because of screwing off on the phone is not acceptable. And then those same employees are upset about the new metrics for performance evaluations. Why would they exceed expectations when, in their free time, instead of finding something else work-related to do, they sit on their phone? I get what you’re saying but it’s not enough.

Some retail stores have banned phones on the floor. It can really mess with people even getting helped with what they need.
