So I worked with age out foster youth. I had some youth who were always sleeping and I never understood it. While faking class in my doctorate program I read sleeping was a way to handle trauma. Which made sense because my niece lost her father when she was eight years old since she loves to sleep could sleep forever.

Okay I’m being serious here. Depression probably? But if you feel this heavy blanket of fatigue always on you, I highly suggest that you get your blood checked. Advocate for yourself. Insist to your doctor that you are not usually like this, that this fatigue is not normal. My friend was like this and we both just thought it was her being depressed with life. However, in her case it was more than that. It was cancer. Fatigue is the silent symptom of cancer because it is so easy to dismiss. We are all tired so it’s easy to think that being fatigued is normal. But this constant fatigue is not. Please get it checked.

Girl I’m trying to figure it out too I think it’s chronic fatigue/ some kind of immune disorder from having Covid, I take Ritalin to get through days I can’t rest and then make sure to have one day a week of natural rest to balance it out
