![I couldn’t leave Hokkaido without eating crab and Kitano Gurume was the perfect place to cross that off my list. I’m truly so impressed with the quality of seafood in Hokkaido. This place was the perfect market to try all kinds of seafood, especially the crab. I wish I had more stomach space because they had so many other kinds of crab to choose from but between me and my husband, we only had room for two crabs: the Hokkaido hairy crab (aka kegani) and the Hanasaki king crab. I arrived here around 7:15 am in the morning because I was worried about crowds and not having enough tables. However, I really didn’t need to come so early because the restaurant section is HUGE and there are definitely enough tables for everyone. Also, I learned after coming here that Kitano Gurume offers a free shuttle, you just have to sign up for it in advance on their website!
