if you're a Christian and you think tithing is about receiving blessings and making extra, you need to study your Bible more! There's no other blessing you need outside of Christ. If you give or tithe because you look forward for more money, that's Ponzi scheme or trade by batter and you can't trade with the God of the new testament. When Christ came, a new government rose and in the government of that new Kingdom, we have all things. If we'd tithe, let's tithe correctly because there are different types of tithe in the Bible. The tithe most people know is only the Levitical tithe, what about the festive tithe where your tithe will be eaten by you and the brethren? what about tithe for the poor where you give to strangers and poor people. The Levitical tithe was there for the Levites to care for themselves because they are not supposed to have a job or properties but only serve as priests in the temples. Now, there's no more Levites and that means the tithing to them ended when the Levites ended. Some talk about the tithe of father Abraham to King Melchizedek, that was a free will tithe, God never asked Abraham to do it. I tithe to show that I appreciate God for what he has done and for blessing me in Christ with all spiritual blessings. I give because God wants his people cared for, he cares for all men whether you're a stranger, poor or rich, that's why he cared for them with the festive tithe. I give to the church than I give to people on the street so my brethren can worship in a serene atmosphere. Giving to people on the street is charity not tithe and not offering. God loves charity and he loves a cheerful giver not a business man who only gives because they want to get in return. Yes there's blessing that comes with giving but is your mindset right about it? Knowledge and mindset matters on all topics. Please study your Bible and let the spirit of God teach you. Nobody can fool me to tithe because of any canckerworms or open windows. I live in the house and I don't need any window to receive only overflows.
