I am over paying premium prices for warmed up Sysco food. Between the high cost of the food and the expected 20% tip regardless of the service I receive keeps me home and cooking for myself. Friday used to be take out night. Now, maybe once a quarter I will have take out. Can baby afford to live. Are we great yet?

Haven’t been out in 5 years. Have a limit. No way a breakfast burrito should be $20. It’s called gauging. Don’t think restaurant owners are living paycheck to paycheck

I’m a bit baffled by this response. Does this mean that we should expect to continue to be priced out a larger share of restaurants? Does this insinuate that more affordable restaurants are cheating the system somehow? There is no easy answer here without addressing the affordablility at a higher level.

Restaurants buy from Sysco so your just buying Sysco food made a different way. You can be uppity to your customer and tell them they owe you nothing and the customer will just go somewhere else 👋.

Went out to eat this morning, popular place, long line by the time we left, the entrees were each 20-30. 6 of us. The bill was 280 and mandatory tip for party of 6. It was celebratory so spending the money wasn’t that big a deal but my god…280. For breakfast. The tip was $43. I don’t want to eat out anymore. I get angry at my family when they suggest it.

"Restaurants don't owe us anything" I get the idea, but I'd argue they owe us transparency. If you're going to sell me reheated Sysco food fine, just tell me first without pretending it's made from scratch
